Who this rate applies to

Employers engaged in retail or service businesses with annual gross income under $500,000 are not required to pay the state minimum wage. Tipped employees must receive at least 50% of the minimum wage ($7.50/hr) plus enough tips/wages to reach $15.00/hr.

The headline rate may not apply to every worker. Missouri has additional worker-class rates recorded only as prose above. Check the source before relying on the headline figure for a specific job or employer type.
